Cancellation Policy & Liability Waiver

We understand that plans change. All cancellations and changes must be made in writing by email (sales@lapitabeach.com) or WhatsApp. The date and time we receive your written notice is what counts.

Day tours & experiences

• 7 days or more before the tour date — full refund of any amount paid.
• 48 hours to 7 days before — 50% refund.
• Less than 48 hours, or a no-show — non-refundable.

Accommodation

• 14 days or more before check-in — full refund of any deposit paid.
• 7 to 14 days before check-in — 50% of the deposit refunded.
• Less than 7 days, or a no-show — deposit non-refundable.

If we cancel

Your safety always comes first. If we cancel a tour because of weather, sea conditions, insufficient numbers, or circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered a full refund or a free reschedule to the next available date.

Changes & reschedules

Date changes are subject to availability and, where possible, are offered free of charge when requested at least 48 hours ahead. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations outside these terms.

By booking or participating in any Lapita Beach Day Tour, you agree to the following:

You understand that activities such as snorkelling, sports fishing, boating, and beach activities involve inherent risks, including (but not limited to):

• Slips, falls, drowning or water-related incidents
• Marine life encounters (stings, bites)
• Boat movement, equipment failure
• Adverse weather, currents, sunburn, dehydration, or motion sickness
• Personal injury, property damage, or in extreme cases, death

You voluntarily assume all risks and confirm you are physically and mentally fit to participate. You agree to follow all instructions from our staff and captains.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Vanuatu, you (and your heirs, executors, and assigns) release, waive, and discharge Lapita Beach Ltd, Lapita Beach Day Tours, its owners, directors, employees, agents, captains, crew, and affiliates (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for injury, loss, damage, or death arising from your participation, including claims caused by negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties against any claims, costs, or legal fees arising from your participation or breach of this agreement.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance before leaving their home country. This should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, repatriation, and personal liability.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Vanuatu. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Vanuatu courts.

Acceptance

By making a booking, paying a deposit, or joining the tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily accept these terms. Participants under 18 require parental/guardian consent.
